I think you should probably talk to non-profit property managers who actually manage master leased SROs for low-income residents, or sociologists who study the revolving door of rapid re-housing efforts & homelessness before making overreaching statements like this.

Agreed. Ive noted before that i dont think yimbyism is a universal policy, but rather CA centric, and its prominence in the Bay is based on the stigmatized nature of housing people on the East Coast dont understand.

If the state was just to throw money at municipalities for social housing, Oakland and Richmond would build, SF would in the gentrifying areas, and Silicon Valley wouldn't.
