Why would anyone trust Facebook not to disclose private information of paid-tier customers, even if they promise not to?

With $41 billion in revenue and 2.2 billion users as of 2017, that's revenue/user of $18.63/year. Not out of reach for the developed world (where I expect they're close to market saturation).

That said, I wonder how much higher that revenue/user figure is in the U.S. where incomes and ad sales are presumably higher than they are in less-developed countries.
