Tons of anti-urban farming sentiment among the tech crowd is what makes this gross. It’s ok for rich techies to backyard farm, but middle class people need to put “people before zucchini’s” when their gardens are destroyed by luxury condo high rises.

Urban farming is great. But on balance, if given a choice, I just think that creating more housing for people in the Bay Area is just more important. Bay Area is supposed to have 9M people by 2040, a lot of it is children of people who are already here.
