Gabby Giffords coming to stump for London Breed. All the major SF candidates for mayor support gun control, prob just a coincidence that Giffords' Super PAC is funded by Breed-supporter Ron Conway https://www.facebook.com/events/1839553109452288/ …

Only 20% of new housing development in SF has been affordable over the last 10 years.pic.twitter.com/dvCgNqMnJu

....so we've averaged at 2,000 net new units a year at a time when SF has increased by a net 10K people per year (through births and migrations). So we're underproducing on all fronts. http://default.sfplanning.org/publications_reports/2016_HousingInventory.pdf …pic.twitter.com/OhunjudAu7

Yes! I agree!!! I didn’t realize it was controversial to want higher percentages of affordable housing in new developments

it's controversial because it doesn't pencil. 100% of 0 is 0. Read the TAC report, which was a yearlong study involving both non-profit and market-rate developers. If you want more than 14-20%, you need a different $ source. http://sfcontroller.org/sites/default/files/Documents/Economic%20Analysis/Final%20Inclusionary%20Housing%20Report%20February%202017.pdf …

But like isn’t this the argument to try to wrest housing industry from only developers?
