Doesn’t look like @JaneKim has had a hard time getting housing built on her district. I would love to see how much affordable housing @LondonBreed has been able to buildhttps://twitter.com/atclmusic/status/959534591219458048 …

Sup Jane has a history of slowing housing in her district - as does every Supervisor. None have strongly advocated for changing zoning to get more housing built in districts other than 6 and 10. We'd like to see anyone with a commitment to more density equity and faster!
I’m not a YIMBY, nor am I a NIMBY. I’m aware you want unrestricted building, but that’s not going to help the housing crisis, when what we really need is more affordable housing. That is what @JaneKim has consistently fought for
where is anything that I have written over the last four years have I ever said I want totally unrestricted, unfettered building? You are not paying attention.
Here's a project for 70 low-income units that is taking 4+ years and $60M+ dollars *excluding land costs* it's $427K per unit, excluding land. Tell me how much $1B gets you? (not much). Necessary but not sufficient.http://www.socketsite.com/archives/2018/02/projected-timing-and-cost-for-affordable-housing-on-mission-bay-block-9.html …
I’m sure you know well how difficult it is to build on Mission Bay, so I don’t think that example can be generalized
I can certainly generalize it all over the entire Bay Area, because I follow many projects all over the Bay Area. It's actually easier to build in Mission Bay than the rest of SF because there are fewer established constituencies there to oppose you.

As the pipeline is shutting down this year in SF, condo prices are starting to spike again.https://twitter.com/rolandlisf/status/963177719533002752 …

New condo inventory within SF is down 34% in past year per Mark Company http://www.themarkcompany.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/The-Mark-Company-Trend-Sheet-San-Francisco-January-2018..pdf …
Regarding @JaneKim, the $80 million sale of 30 Van Ness was voted down because she wanted a higher affordable housing percentage: https://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/blog/real-estate/2016/09/30-van-ness-san-francisco-housing-development.html …
Project was delayed about a year and new price was $10 million less for higher affordable http://hoodline.com/2017/06/49-floor-mixed-use-development-proposed-for-van-ness-market …
as in the city earned $10M less, but got a higher affordability % from the developer?
Yes also the base office building is staying and expanding under the plan. Still probably a year or two from approval, needs special use district and I believe CEQA study.pic.twitter.com/lM8BqEIIIi
