We should just have clear, consistent standards that ask a lot of them. Not this morass of total politicization and unpredictability.
i'm a big fan of high standards paired with predictability. right now the development game draws people who like the chaos & risk and tend to feed the community dynamics.
clear consistent standards, on something like inclusionary housing, don't necessarily have predictable or optimal outcomes. Studies such as from @FurmanCenterNYU suggest need to adjust by area and for changing market conditions.
