We spent $100k per homeless resident of SF. That is the highest level ever spent anywhere. The problem is NOT the money in the region or a lack of willingness to spend money, it is the unwillingness to use that money to building homes and shelters.

That number is the SFCC general fund spending on homelessness, right? Not state and federal funds, nonprofit budgets, other charity, medical expenses and uncompensated care that don’t show up in general fund, etc?

that funding would include federal dollars as well allocated through the city.
