Who says I don’t already commute at least 1-2 hrs a day and haven’t already been displaced multiple times from the communities in which I grew up?

If you were displaced then why aren't you pushing for rent control and tenant protection? I swear I saw you on Amtrak anyway

Who says that isn't part of what YIMBYs do?
@tdfischer_ & others were up in Sacramento w@eb4everyone for Costa Hawkins reform earlier this mo. Displacement can occur in many forms such as "exclusionary displacement" which prevents people from moving in:http://blogs.berkeley.edu/2015/08/28/displacement-the-misunderstood-crisis/ …1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

If you want to dispute a researcher who is universally cited by SF's progressive left and has spent much of their academic career at UC Berkeley studying displacement and running a team of researchers studying displacement, OK, you be you.

You're calling yourself displaced from a place you never lived. Come on that's misleading and a big eye roller.

I grew up there. I spent most of my life there. Is your vision for Bay Area that the only ethical housing decision is to move back into your parents' basement when the rest of the nearby housing stock requires $10K/mo mortgage payments or $4k/mo rents?

Ok you want a better/cheaper apartment. It's not displacement by any common definition. Serious entitlement there

http://www.urbandisplacement.org/resources because I can't afford to live in the community that I grew up in, I look for housing elsewhere, which causes stress in other parts of the regional housing pool.pic.twitter.com/LHQqs5vXe4

Move home. Add a unit. Displacement solved?

I have several siblings, including one working a working-class job who already lives at home. Were you born in SF? Why don't you move back into your parents' house? Still haven't answered whether you're a property owner.

Just add a unit. You'll get privacy and can stay close to family.
