I grew up there. I spent most of my life there. Is your vision for Bay Area that the only ethical housing decision is to move back into your parents' basement when the rest of the nearby housing stock requires $10K/mo mortgage payments or $4k/mo rents?

I have no idea what the answers are. I can troll and roll my eyes at proposed solutions. I’d say two of the biggest problems are income inequality and surging population of lower income people.
