Because it is run in a quasi-authoritarian manner by one guy and it institutionally doesn’t understand or internalize the tensions, balance of power, checks or transparency required in democratic governance systems and never will.
But also I don’t think people/journalists would ever be fully satisfied with the answers because the decision over what values/signals we use to guide the information that 2 billion people (across many different cultures and societies) see every day is complicated.

That’s right. We’ve seen the fallibility of algorithms to accomplish the task, but we’re also acutely aware of the inability of humans to effectively do the job, too.
