I am sorry but I cannot agree with you. We have to stop making this the new normal 'better late than never'. This is after all the thought capital of the world. We pride ourselves in endeavors that are making the world a better place, but ours. Sorry, unacceptable

By the time bart gets to downtown san jose, caltrain will be electric and will be able to run bart-like frequent service cost-effectively. More good transit is good.

What is on your wishlist for a 2020 transit mega-measure?

Outside of rush hour, Caltrain only comes once an hour and then it still takes 90 minutes. BART comes every few minutes all day and then it would probably be slightly over an hour once you're on the train. So it's like an hour plus a little change on mass transit from SF to SJ.

Yeah, Caltrain and BART are both pretty slow. The Capitol is, or at least seems, a lot faster due to not stopping as often. I haven't scored a Caltrain Baby Bullet enough to compare, but I assume it would also seem fast.
