Yep. When Bear Stearns collapsed, the over-educated/under socialized variety of douchebag stopped looking to Wall Street for the $1M they felt entitled to, and started coming here instead. Massive change between "came for the cool tech" and "Came because the money is there".

Don't get me wrong, the 90's tech scene had its problems (many centered on the white male ego), but dude-bros were not one of them.
