Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. I think the more relevant framing is the ratio of older voters (which understandably shorter horizons) versus younger voters (who need to be thinking in a multiple decades-to-half century long framework)

Really? Because our kids and grandkids are the ones getting screwed out of a lifetime of our assets when we lose medicare coverage and have to sell the house, drain the retirement fund, and move in with them. Our interests are their interests, and vice-versa.

High home prices are a generational transfer. Same with Prop 13 and cuts to spending. Inheritance doesn't come close.
