I hope everyone realizes this means that Californians will be sending another $12 billion to the federal government every year instead of investing that here. That's 1/4th of what this state govt spends on all K-12 public schools each year. And we're already a net donor state.

er, $12B was the figure I heard yesterday from @NancyPelosi's office.
