I'm sympathetic to the argument too but it's sort of odd in other contexts. Minimum wage workers buy used cars, but no one freaks out that we're not building new cars for poor people.

Cars do not include the cost of the underlying land (which is structured as the primary major wealth accumulation method in America), and also they can be imported from abroad.

Of course, but that's why we are working for exactly that in Santa Clara starting with our bond measure to support ELI housing.

Yeah, that bond mechanism was awesome! Although LIHTC is going to get destroyed in the new GOP tax plan, which means that $950M is not going to go as far as people have previously planned.
