Nice listening to .@timoreilly talk about “what the future” tonight though can’t but help need to get that message outside the coworking tech bubble. LA still looks to invest zillions of dollars in light rail for example rather than creative use of public AVs
substitution/complementarity is still in play versus BRT and point-to-point. No one really knows that one. @ratnaamin

Maybe... many of these issues are somewhat academic unless we increase the agility and digital competence of how city gov operates. Helps to distinguish btw transit thats Public v privately operated / mixed traffic v dedicated space or subway/ frequent trunk lines through dense places or ‘coverage’ and lifeline service / local v regional access. Our transit agencies are pulled across many goals and objectives
