I'd like to see net parking ticket revenue - after deducting fully loaded (including pensions) meter maid compensation...bet it's not so large.

We really should not be using fines as a source of continuing revenue! That's what got Ferguson, MO in trouble.

I assume cities will have to look for new petty slights to criminalize and levy fines upon. Expand asset forfeiture programs. Anything but LVT, basically.

Also, the money won't be for investing in transit infrastructure. That will just be left to decay. It will all go toward funding pension liabilities for Boomer retirees.

Let self-driving car companies generate significant profits & cut into parking ticket revenue first. Then we can move on to the obvious solution of congestion/road access pricing.
