Well this working class boomer never bought a house. Couldn't afford it. And I'm not the only one. We're a demographic not a culture.

main beneficiary was probably older homeowners - certainly r prop tax went up and up and up. tripled in 20 yrs, easily

not true - our home in Marin doubled in value, eventually - but there were plenty of years during which the value plummeted.
