BC sees the need for more housing. Especially BMR and more affordable condos for young people. Developers here only want office.
-
Market rate housing pays for BMR. BMR can't exist w/out something else subsidizing it.

These are the problems that BC is working hard to solve. Cupertino is very different than SF. Allowing denser housing may raise land prices
-
Omg. Not land prices *per unit.* Cupertino's median is *700K* more than SF.

Number one problem is transit. This corner was left out by VTA. So many want quiet suburbia, good schools, green space.

We also want for sale condos and flats so that people have a chance to invest their money--also brings in taxes to support our schools.
