The problem is civic engagement by professionals. As in: it doesn't happen. Opportunity cost is so high.

Seems like we need a movement within tech leadership to drive change. I don't hold out hope for SF. But we should be able to fix SM/SC Co.

BC isn't a NIMBY group, we just think that there are better ways of achieving growth. RRMUs work great in SF but flop most elsewhere.

How so? You want less growth (so people have to go elsewhere), and you want to maintain character (so there's no room for new peeps)
