the government created the problem with extreme zoning, impact fees, CEQA etc. they need to fix it.

Interesting notion. Though we need also to consider transit, climate, and quality of life issues, factor those in.

@MattRegan10 equity/transport prob with pushing housing elsewhere; & w/present costly bldg approach, fines'd need to be huge -
in Bay Area there is ample demand & space; primarily, housing needs to be allowed & required, not subsidized
