Some of it is down to the history of slavery in the UK bring radically different (outlawed earlier, little to none in UK itself), some is the recent history (60s & 70s) of immigration causing a lot of Caribbean culture influx, some is the British imperial dynamic being different.

It’s... a rather large topic. The UK is not less racist (as such) just usually less overt. It’s also usually framed in terms of class dynamics much more. But yeah... huge topic.
