I mean I’m not nearly smart enough to get a job as an engineer at Facebook, I have no idea how it works. But some of the smartest, hardest-working people I know work there and I’m confident they know what they’re doing and are proud of their product.

Not an answer. You made an accusation, that Zuckerberg wants certain content to thrive. Do you have any evidence that this (cherry picked) data is driven by intentional product decisions instead of, say, demand from the segment of the population that uses this specific platform?
