@kimmaicutler's explanation. I'm not excusing her record at all, and in fact share many of the same critiques. But it is also true that for a Black politician to be viable-- for decades-- they had to prove themselves as being "tough on crime"Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
