its not like Sand Hill existed forever either. Boston lost out to SF for structural reasons and the same thing can happen to SF. Especially since capital continues to be plentiful and cheap.

I don’t think it’ll go away but will certainly lose some ground. They might have the most capital and big tech companies, but I’m not sure about innovation

The other possibility is that there no longer is a hub, and this era of innovation in information technology comes to an end, and 50 years from now our devices & websites are similar to the ones we have today, similar to how cars & houses today are similar to those from the 80s.
