I have only cooked with silken tofu once and I blended it with cashews, but I found the texture a little bit creepy

I enjoy the texture but mixing it with something crunchy like crushed peanuts could be interesting. I had this with scallions, soy sauce and sriracha (bc I don’t have chili oil right now). Yum.

agreed that silken tofu blends = bad. silken tofu drenched in soy sauce and chili = good.

fresh silken tofu = the best. No one here is going to do this any time soon, but making your own silken tofu or fresh tofu skins with high-quality soy sauce is pretty much unparalleled.

Making your own? That's a bit advanced for me right now!
