I missed this last week, but the CA legislature voted to strike from the constitution: “The state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin.” Let illiberalism reign

sure, weighing race is OK in other states by the US Constitution. but post-Bakke Prop 209’s wording, unless rescinded, gives the California Constitution stronger antidiscrimination protections than other states.
