@constancewu when it came out, and did she think it was best for the first US movie like this in 25 years to come out to be such a materialistic story? and her answer was always, we just need more stories. More characters. More opportunities. -
100%. While representarion is a big part of this. I think it’s really about allowing people to own their own narrative and to be empowered to tell their story.
