Too early to know real implications of SV co's going remote (I look fwd to hearing more from smart writers on housing like @kimmaicutler @ConorDougherty) but seem there will still be a pretty wide gap between ppl who can afford homes in Bay Area and those in the rental hellscape?

Kinda designed that way. No one builds anything. Tax structure greatly favors people who have been here for decades.

Definitely renting, even right now. Maybe buying. Depends on how much this gets priced in vs. the lower interest rates.
