not your main point but: I don't really understand why people keep talking like the Bay Area is not diverse. It is very diverse! It looks very different from most American metros and I think that throws folks off.

i feel like there's a thing where people count the bay area's asian-american population as essentially being white or white adjacent when they talk about the region's diversity

which is ironic bc a lot of the API folks here are in subgroups that are less white adjacent, like Filipinos, but i'm getting way out of my lane now :)

Last thing I'll say - I worried a lot about SFUSD being able to accomodate my black kids, and I still worry somewhat. But going on school tours really made me think about what SF offers that few places do - classes made up of *very* diverse and immigrant-heavy student bodies.

I was mostly echoing earlier comments from @EricaJoy and @jkwade, who were excited about WFH for this reason.
