Were there enough Healthcare workers, social workers, logistic folks, addiction specialists, security guards to make decision as simple as some folks are ? who stops the addicts from leaving to get a fix and coming back to spread virus inside hotel. need to mandate quarantine

That is the point. This is a corona virus intervention. Not a drug intervention. We need to keep these folks alive despite their addictions. That is why I advocate camping in schoolyards & parking lots. Social distancing + amenities but folks can still be themselves. Just safely.

You don't hear about the Tenderloin's lack of social distancing causing an outbreak because people aren't tested and positive tests aren't identified by neighborhood---but the city wouldn't be enforcing 6-ft spacing elsewhere if it didn't matter.

I would love to see
@LondonBreed living in the TL for one week.

This is a damning article. I have been thankful for Breed's leadership, but the fact is that the city has not moved adequately to protect our homeless population. Today, 80+ more cases were announced, one month into the shelter in place order. This is unacceptable.

One thing is clear. High density, mass transport - Particularly terrible for this outbreak. Uber/lyft will probably benefit in medium term.
