This is a prediction of the models for a jurisdiction of Singapore's size, isn't it?

That is exactly what happened in 1918.

Most likely scenario is that we continue our lockdown, it's lifted, then we enter a new lockdown as cases suddenly rise again, we flatten the 2nd curve and lockdown ceases, then another curve rises....

I’ve asked this all along. What is the endgame? Without a vaccine we can’t outrun it, but if we don’t have a functioning economy/society, what do we return to? If we survive & have not changed, how much
will we face due to climate change caused by the same housing, transport? -
keep cases down to where you can whack-a-mole local outbreaks with extensive local testing: requires vigilance and intelligence but not blind isolation.

I believe this is the dance phase where government manages outbreaks with lockdowns until a vaccine is developed.https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-the-hammer-and-the-dance-be9337092b56 …

Simple answer (incomplete, but a workable middle ground to shutdowns) is for us all to wear masks in public as is common in many Asian countries. I don’t want to, but it’s gotta become the norm until the vaccine can be created and distributed

They don’t do compulsory masks.

At this point, there’s a pretty significant chance that this won’t be contained no matter what measures are taken. Seems difficult to stop once this many are already infected.
