Dr Fauci predicts between 100,000 and 200,000 US Covid-19 deaths. Dr Birx warns "no metro area will be spared" the toll of Coronavirus. A stark contrast between President Trump’s talk of rolling back social distancing by Easter. https://www.vox.com/2020/3/29/21198723/coronavirus-deaths-estimate-fauci?utm_campaign=vox&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter …

I would add that every executive in office failed here, unless they took adequate action to test/trace/protect those they are responsible for. Are there any cities in the US which responded to the competency level of Singapore / HK / Taiwan / SK / Japan?

Perhaps only executives at a few VC firms in the Bay Area, perhaps a few corporations took adequate action. It is a massive, massive failure, at all levels.

And that’s only so low because two major states were ahead of the curve. Imagine if Washington and California were NY.

The only reason the predicted numbers aren't in the millions is that entire states locked themselves down. 200,000 might be low, mainly because the President and lots of right-wing pundits are claiming (a) the pandemic is a hoax, and (b) old people have a duty to die.

Hi, Kim, I hope all is well and comfortable where you are. I do not see a scenario where the govt would have inventory of tests for every man woman and child. What other tests would you advise we have in place and ready to go? a Ct scan for everyone?
