Does the person who wrote this have zero understanding of the relative density of NYC versus California and NYC’s reliance on public transit? And that California started distancing earlier?

Nope. That is one possibility. But if you look at anecdotal hospital reports like at

Also, CA isn't testing a lot of people. Why are we behind on testing?

If this was the case we’d be seeing a similar surge in our hospitals despite low case #. So far we’re not.

I wish I could say home harder. Our spaces are small. The sooner these numbers go down the sooner we are free. It’s so frustrating to not see a change faster.
