Does coronavirus feel more like a temporary setback that we'll bounce back from in a few quarters and things will be mostly the same or will it have enduring cultural impacts on the workplace and education that we'll remember for decades forward?

What's the most recent event that you'd say has had enduring cultural impacts on the workplace and education that we'll remember for decades forward?

the 2008 recession. If you look at what Sanders' campaign is today, it very much pulls from the themes of the Occupy movement which died out in a relatively short time, but the ideas lived onward. Young people's frustration w/ debt, housing affordability, etc.

How much enduring cultural impact was there from the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918? I think one of the biggest enduring impacts may be to how companies think of supply chains.

Temporary setback. Summer approaching. Vaccine and treatment coming soon enough. I think it’s going to be a lot worse in the southern hemisphere.

I think it will take a few more scares to change culture.

It’ll accelerate adoption of remote, COOP, it’ll hinder centralization of transit, medical care, education. It’ll reduce mass gatherings and air travel. You’ll see antimicrobial surfaces installed everywhere. Handshakes?
