This is why I don’t think an older woman can win a presidential race. Even people who hate Trump hated women too much to vote for one. These people assumed Hillary would win (everyone did) but they just ..... couldn’t .... vote for her.https://twitter.com/BriannaWu/status/1221546683428954113 …

That’s right, the op wouldn’t make sense if you assume she is talking about the popular vote. In order to make this tweet make sense, I am adding some information to it - I am assuming that she is talking about the vote count in the states that went to Trump.

Can’t show counterfactuals but I bet you a lot of people in purple-y states will also leave their ballots bank bc they can’t vote for a self-proclaimed socialist. We’ll see.

Here’s an article about the undervotes in swing states I think the op was thinking of:https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/12/14/1-7-million-people-in-33-states-and-dc-cast-a-ballot-without-voting-in-the-presidential-race/ …

I always wondered if Dems instead of spending money on campaign, just spent on a program to redistribute people from California to swing state's swing districts

May not be effective if the strategy is literally voter suppression. See Florida:https://www.npr.org/2020/01/19/797804425/florida-supreme-court-rules-convicted-felons-must-pay-fines-to-vote …
