Just saw this today btw. Looks like Uber has cut incomes to drivers in Nigeria by over 40% and is paying them below minimum wage. https://twitter.com/davecraige/status/1220817673816178688?s=21 … /

I call it Bsheet!Youre smart girl Kim. What about law of demand x supply ? Passenger at “white neighborhood” always pay surge price at rush hour. Passenger at “black area” refuses to pay surge. Driver will choose most profitable rides. Most drivers are immigrant-minority like me.

Your our argument justify not giving ICs upfront information to ascertain viability of services. Would you accept a job without knowing when, where, how long, compensation, who's the customer, RISKS & possible deactivation without recourse. "YOUR RIGHTS BEGIN WHERE MINE END"

The only thing greater than the good intentions behind AB5 are the negative consequences coming from it.

Completely predictable. The situation will get worse as
@LorenaSGonzalez continues her irrational and ultimately failing war on Uber. At least today, the pricing is uniform. Uber may have to give up pricing control to drivers.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Uber won't pass the test, though. This is just another attempt by a tech giant to skirt the rules, which is having negative consequences on real people.

Where I work you can already refuse such areas without a law like that. But I work wherever it takes me, it doesn't matter and it's fun. I leave if there's a cop, though. Don't want to get in trouble for loitering.
