To be fair, $1.4B is I think more than has ever been spent in the state budget on homelessness, but it's actually really small relative to the size of the problem. I love it. Sure it’s small time now and where will they go, but if they were cost effective as triage housing (and the bar is pretty low if you compare to nav centers) it’s great. Pressure the mayors into figuring out the locations. Send SF 200 for Balboa Reservoir.

If you just give SF money they will figure out a way to spend $1200 a night and $20 a flush on the same problem.

70 people are going into 15 of those small trailers? How does that work? Sleeping only? Granted, most of the people I've met who sleep outside would probably love having shelter from the elements as a temporary solution....if their trailer mates weren't mentally unstable.
