Yes, there are issues with Prop E, San Francisco's ballot measure to further limit office construction. Still, it's an improvement over the status quo. Many jobs will leave SF for the suburbs. The biggest concern I've heard with Prop E is that peninsula cities would build tons of office parks and zero housing. However, new state law (SB 828 from 2018) would require them to build tens of thousands of homes if they did that. 2/

Isn't there a decent case for more office development around suburban rail stations? I mean, the economics of commuter rail are better when commuters ride both ways at rush hour, no?
