also maaaybe someone who isn't a builder or designer but is a city planning commissioner and millionaire landlord with giant conflict of interest should mooostly stay out of quietly partnering in LLCs to do such projects, to help us all avoid confusion on this delicate point..

Also ... a tenant can agree to a $25,000 buyout (a few months of rent at market rate), and it's still wildly lowball and unfair. Not all agreements are well-informed. We should absolutely call out people who take advantage of that. Especially sophisticated city officials.
