A related point: there is no race in SimCity. No redlining. No denial of services, except in the most abstract of senses. Don’t get me wrong—I don’t think SimCity should allow you to racially discriminate as part of its core game mechanics.

The *other* problem is that SimCity in particular is a simulation of the urban dynamics of a city in *Southern California.* There’s a reason why, if you ever play SimCity, it’s almost impossible to get your Sims to use public transit without mods.
