@antoniogm once made a great point. The follow up question to “companies are not beholden to the first amendment” is “in that case, what do we as a country all agree on for what speech should be if not the first amendment?” -
That’s not at all right. Corporations are exercising *their* 1Am free speech rights when they moderate content on their platforms....

So it’s kind of a smokescreen or what not to say they aren’t exercising deliberate intentional choices above and beyond what American 1Am law says. They can choose to do more, or less.

yea and that's great! the entire discussion really lacks perspective setting imo. bad content as a % of total content etc we will NEVER have any UGC network without bad content its like the content version of not wanting self driving without 0 accidents
