So if there was say a 10% chance of a wildfire vs a guaranteed loss to customers of $2.5B via shutoff. Seems like things may flush out pretty close here. Then given the ecosystem needs fire every so often? Wonder where that leaves policy here...

I don’t think it’s 10% anymore. The last few years, there’s consistently been major, unprecedented fires for almost every red flag day. There are only statistically 2.5 wind events like this per year in Northern California.https://scholarworks.sjsu.edu/etd_theses/4962/ …

I’d say it’s more like 90% massive wildfire per 2.5 Diablo wind events per year.
