Ok so if California took it over and it became a public utility, we’d also have the same choice of — do we want $30B of liabilities per fire or $2.5B per shutdown?

Maybe, but that might also include the reality that the political system doesn’t want to consider — that maybe huge parts of the state are unviable to live in long-term.
