I’m kind of at a loss here. Candidates for SF’s district attorney race in November are proposing an on-demand Uber-for-fixing-your-broken-windows app & service as a solution to citywide auto break-ins?https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/philmatier/article/DA-candidates-outline-how-they-d-battle-SF-s-14516421.php …

This only says reports of break-ins are down. Maybe people gave up on reporting?
-
Maybe? But we don't really know so hard to blame Mayor Breed for it. We need to change our approach to this, bc what's happening now is now working. Does anyone have research in what caused car break-ins to accelerate?

This is a misleading statistic (as many are). I’ve been broken into twice, never reported. What will/ could the police do afterwards other than add to the statistics?
-
Report. Report. Report. There is a super easy online form. If the stats are showing a decrease in break ins or is incorrect in where they're occuring - it won't get fixed.
