          Wired has editorial folks in SF. surely they must have someone in SF who can/could've edited this? the author takes legitimate undercurrents outlined in her story, ties it out of order and voila, we have a tech overlord conspiracy theory

          I mean, you could also write this story as communities of color in the inner Bay Area retained power access (because they were historically redlined to the industrial flats of the Bay Area)...? And that would make a totally different point!
