But wouldn’t that transfer $20-30B of liability directly to taxpayers? And then they obviously wouldn’t want to shoulder that and then that would shift pressure to insurers, who would then back out of now totally unviable markets?

Right now we’re not only paying those costs we are also paying out of state shareholder profits and large settlements for toxic waste dumped in water.....all the costs with no control
