I'm all for blaming Republicans for stuff but I really don't see how all of this doesn't fall on democrats.

Prop 13 created a financial incentive for cities to zone for commercial over housing. That was pushed and passed by republicans. A housing crises doesn’t happen over night (absent a natural disaster).
