Seattle urban villages (only 25% of the city) 2-10% inclusion or pay an in lieu fee (“MHA”) restricted by WA State law, we have MFTE (multifamily tax exemption) that lasts 12 years for middle-ish income, but without big state changes we are very limited; no rent stabilization

When Seattle’s
@seattleoh gets in lieu fees they are able to leverage to build many more units of deeply affordable housing; since we don’t have income tax we are limited in revenue for deeply affordable = MHA $ is critical right now; politically unpopular & misunderstood tho - 1 more reply
