Deflating land prices.... at what pace? For whom? How do you balance that out given part of the reason home prices got so protected was because they supplanted loss of pension/retirement security, etc. over the last generation?

My approach is a managed and intentional deflation of land prices to zero over a couple decades or more with bailouts for ordinary working people, not a speculation driven bubble bursting causing a subprime crisis

I think if we do it right, it could be on the order of years, not decades, but realistically, a longer time frame is probably what it would take for such a radical restructuring of how our cities work and how people live
